This is a very simple and tasty homemade frosting.
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 tbls water
food coloring of your choice
Mix ingredients in a bowl and beat on high with a hand mixer for 10 mins. Add food coloring as desired. Use to decorate a cake. frosts one 9x13 cake
