Cheddar ale spread

So who doesn't love a good dip ? I was doing my normal blog browsing and came across this one over on browneyed baker. This dip would be perfect for the upcoming holiday parties or any occasion really !

8 oz. cream cheese
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2½ cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons heavy cream
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup beer (pretty much anything but a light beer)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (I substituted 2 teaspoons dried)

Combine the cream cheese, mustard, cheddar cheese, cream, and salt in a food processor. Process for 30 seconds, add the beer, and continue processing until very smooth. Pulse in the parsley until just dispersed.

This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You will want to take it out an hour before serving if you do refrigerate.

Chocolate chip cookie dough dip

Sometimes the best part of making cookies is eating the dough ( I know I know the raw eggs aren't good for you but unbaked dough is so yummy !) So this recipe is a great alternative to eating the raw dough. Its just in a dip form. I found this recipe at recipezaar.

1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Vanilla wafer cookies or graham crackers for dipping

1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the brown sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously, until the brown sugar dissolves.

2. Remove from heat, whisk in the vanilla and set aside to cool.

3. Beat the cream cheese and confectioner's sugar for 1 minute.

4. Slowly beat in the cooled butter mixture and beat again for another minute.

5. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.

6. Pour into a serving bowl and refrigerate. Garnish with additional chocolate chips or nuts, if you choose.

Crockpot garlic dip

If you like garlic you will love this tasty dip.

-1 8 oz block of cream cheese
--1/3 cup of mayonnaise
--whole head of garlic

This works best with a mini crock pot

Smash and peel all of the garlic cloves, and dice the garlic into tiny pieces.

Put the cream cheese and mayo into the crock, plop the diced garlic on top. You won't be able to stir until the cream cheese melts.

Cook on high for 1 hour, low for 2. Stir well and serve with your favorite crackers and vegetables.

If you cook it a bit too long and it looks like the garlic is scorching on the side, unplug the crock and give the dip a good stir.

Crockpot taco dip

This is a very yummy dip and it is sure to be a hit at all parties.I have made this several times and there is no leftovers.

1 block (8 oz) cream cheese

1 (1.25 oz) envelope taco seasoning mix

Use a 4 quart or larger slow cooker. Dump everything in. It will not look pretty, and that's okay. Cover and cook on low for about 3 hours, or on high for 90 minutes or until the cheeses have fully melted and are heated through. Stir well and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.

Creamy black bean dip
