Chicken fried steak and white gravy

When i want some good home cooked comfort food i like to make this.It goes well with some mashed potatoes and a veggie.

1 cup flour
salt and peppper to taste
1 tsp onion powder
1 lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic crushed and chopped
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
cracker crumbs - I like ritz or saltines
oil for deep frying

Put some flour in a bowl with salt, pepper, onion powder. Put cracker crumbs in another bowl. Stir garlic into the ground beef, form into patties and smash flat. Combine the milk and the egg into a bowl. Dip each patty into flour, then into egg and milk mixture then the cracker crumbs. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on each side. Seve with white gravy ( see recipe below)

WHITE GRAVY

after frying the steak leave 2-4 tbsp of drippings and crumbs in the pan. add the flour quickly, stirring constantly until all the crumbs are lostened and mixture is thick. Then add milk and boil until thickened.salt and pepper to taste and serve over steak.
