Northern bean soup

This soup is one of my favorites !

1 lb dry northern beans
1 lb ham diced
1 sm onion chopped
1 c chopped celery
3 carrots peeled and chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1-2 qts water
salt and pepper to taste

Wash beans and cover with water soaking over night. drain beans and pour into slow cooker.Add remaining ing.Cover and cook on high 2 hrs than on low 10 hrs.
